Asian Turkey Meatballs – Recipe & Video
I love meatballs and use all types of ground meat regularly. It is versatile, lower in fat, and extremely flavorful when combined with the right ingredients. These Asian-style meatballs have a ton of flavor from garlic, ginger, and cilantro. Add in the citrus dipping sauce and you’ll have trouble keeping these crowd pleasers around for long!
Asian Turkey Meatballs
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
- 1 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger minced
- ¼ cup cilantro minced
- 2 scallions chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 scallion chopped
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray muffin tins with olive oil.
Mix meatball ingredients together and place ~1 ounce balls in each muffin spot. Bake ~30 minutes, until golden brown.
Mix dipping sauce ingredients together and blend well.
Serve meatballs with sauce on the side.
