Halloween Apple Teeth – Monster Mouth

Halloween is fast approaching, so why not try something fun to celebrate? I call this Apple Teeth, also known as Monster Mouth, and it’s always a huge hit with kids and adults. A great way to use apples during the Fall and beyond!

How to Make Apple Teeth

Apple teeth is a deliciously simple treat, all you need to do is slice up some apples, spread your nut or seed butter of choice on one side of each, line with almonds, then place together for your apple teeth! Feel free to swap out the slivered almonds for other “teeth” options, such as raisins or other dried fruit.

Is Apple Teeth a Healthy Snack?

Apple teeth is a super healthy snack that gets kids into the kitchen! Apples are an excellent source of fiber, Vitamin C, and a variety of antioxidants. From peanut, cashew, or almond to sesame or sunflower, Nut and Seed butters are a fantastic addition to snack time. They are a great way to increase our intake of plant-based protein and they naturally contain heart healthy unsaturated fats. And best of all – there are many delicious allergen-free varieties or nut and seed butter available if that is something you need to watch out for!
