This green smoothie supplies an excellent source of potassium from banana. Potassium may reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. Sip on this over an hour or more if you’d like. The blend of carbohydrate, fat and protein is tasty, filling and is a healthy alternative to processed foods.
Green Berry Kefir Smoothie
- 1 cup low fat or nonfat plain kefir
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 small banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ cup baby spinach
Place all ingredients in Vitamix/blender and process until smooth.
